As a participant of the ART RUSSIA FAIR in Moscow on February 20-23, 2020, a baby climbed on all fours on the floor of my stand ,got out of a stroller, chatted with friends of the Mother, and began to crawl among my two paintings on the floor.I started taking pictures of him and made a video with him. Upon arrival in St. Petersburg, I decided to paint a picture with a Woman in the pose of Sumo wrestlers. There was an empty space on the canvas to her left, and I remembered the Baby.

Reflections in the water
This is another painting from the Water Lilies series. It was beautiful weather when I was painting it. Lots of sun fell into the studio. All this meant that I painted it very quickly, and yet I do not paint like in a sports competition on time. 81x100cm, acrylic on linen

FRAGMENTS II
LIMITED EDITION of 10 84 x 59cm
I am drawn towards geometric patterns and particularly in cities. This is part of a project I am doing on a particular area in London. Once run down and unpopular but steeped in history. Now it is being redeveloped and is very different. A lot of the new building work is very modern and this image is of a particular bit that has a lot of mirrors. I found this very poignant as it reflects everything as if reflecting on its own history.

Faringdon Folly
Faringdon Folly is an iconic Tower on the Oxfordshire skyline standing 100 feet tall over the historic market town of Faringdon. After climbing the 154 stairs to the top of the tower the Folly offers superb views over 5 counties. The oil painting is one taken from behind the tower looking east on a clear summers day.

Malaise
Industrial, once functional, this landscape sheathed by events that kick our backs and sting our eyes. The molten orange furnace now icy white corrected by the passing of time and halted by natures cruel vines, a moment of luscious green lies to me and I power on through lonely blue arches but the malaise is it’s own and the past cannot be changed. What soul has not been touched by malaise?

Perranporth Beach view from Seiners Arms
Perranporth Beach view from Seiners Arms is in a series of paintings celebrating the beautiful 3 mile stretch of Perranporth Beach and the spectacular Arch Rock with its foreground of tidal sand patterns. The painting is from the view from the Seiners Arms and focusses on the forever changing patterns left in the sand by the tide. They have always caught my eye at Perranporth, especially from the great pub the Seiners Arms, as they form a natural artistic foreground to an awe-inspiring backdrop.
